Therapy with me
My Approach to Therapy
As an Integrative therapist, I provide therapy that is adaptable and responsive to your needs. I believe you are the expert of your experience and have the inherent strength to change your life. My role is to be with you each step of the way, providing a safe and confidential space for you to explore what feels most important.
I offer two distinct ways of working together:
Open-Ended Therapy
This approach is mostly non-directive, meaning I won't set the agenda for our sessions. We will be guided by whatever feels most important to you each week as we work to explore your thoughts and feelings in more depth. The counselling contract is open-ended, so we can continue to work together for as long as therapy feels beneficial to you. I ask new clients to commit to a minimum of six sessions to give us enough time to build our relationship and get a sense of how therapy can work for you.
Brief Solution-Focused Therapy (BSFT)
This is a more structured, time-limited approach designed for specific goals. If you have a clear problem you want to address, we will work together over a set number of sessions (usually six) to identify your strengths and build on them to create lasting change. This approach is highly collaborative and focused on finding practical solutions.
